Information

The Wentzville Wildcats Youth Football  Association has been servicing the Wentzville and surrounding communities since the fall of 1987. In 2017, the WWYFA celebrated their 30th anniversary.

We are a member of the Gateway Football League (GFL) which recognizes the importance of the life lessons a child learns through playing sports. All Coaches are trained and USA Football Heads Up Certified to make the sport better and SAFER for your young athletes.

Practice for the tackle football season begins in late July with a camp held to kick off the season. The games normally start the weekend after Labor Day with a 7 game regular season schedule followed by the playoffs. Football games are held on Saturdays and Sundays with the possibility of an occasional make-up game during the week. Our home games are played at Heartland Park in Wentzville and away games are played at other Gateway league member locations in the St. Louis area. Practices are typically held 3 nights per week (M/T/Th) until Labor Day. After Labor Day, practices are typically 2 nights per week (T/Th) .

Cost for tackle football is $275 per player.  A $200 equipment deposit is required at sign-up.  The deposit will be held until the equipment is returned at the end of the season.  To help offset the cost of tackle football, the Wildcats organization offers the option of selling raffle tickets.  If a players chooses to do so, they may purchase raffle tickets for $50 at registration.  These tickets can then be sold to friends, family and neighbors.  There will be a drawing near the start of the tackle season for multiple cash prizes.
